Join All-American Home Care CEO Marco Altieri and Best Buddies for Champion of the Year.
Champion of the Year is an annual 12-week fundraising competition featuring a select group of individuals, professionals and community leaders prominent in the Rochester community. These philanthropic trailblazers compete to raise the most funds for Best Buddies in New York and earn the ultimate title of Champion of the Year. The winner will be revealed November 16.
Altieri has been teamed with 17-year-old Bailey Geoghegan of Attica, NY. He’s a Norman Howard School student who will join Altieri as one of 15 teams from the Rochester, NY region to raise as much money as possible for Best Buddies.
“Bailey is a great young man, and I really enjoyed meeting his family,” Altieri said. “We’re going to make a good team and give the competition a run for their money.”
By reaching out to the community to raise funds and spread awareness, candidates champion for Best Buddies, their mission, and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Rochester.
“Best Buddies has been great for Bailey,” said Mark Geoghegan, Bailey’s father. “There’s so much positive reinforcement, and that makes a big difference in the lives of these young folks.”
Following the twelve-week campaign, Best Buddies will recognize the candidate who has raised the largest amount in donations at the annual Champion of the Year Gala. By definition, that candidate will have surpassed all rivals in the competition and becomes a champion. He or she will aptly receive the title of Champion of the Year, along with a surprise trip for two.
